Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of the M&R Watsonville Spray Foam Insulation website and any insulation work you hire us to do. If you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or book a job, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you go ahead.

If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the site or book work with us. If something here is unclear, call us at (831) 666-1048 before you sign anything and we'll talk it through.

What we do

M&R Watsonville Spray Foam Insulation is an insulation contractor in Watsonville, CA, and we work in Watsonville and the cities around it. Our work includes spray foam, attic and blown-in insulation, insulation removal, crawl space and wall insulation, air sealing and vapor barriers for homes and commercial buildings. You can read more about our crew on the About page and find each service from the home page.

Descriptions on this site are general information about the trade. They aren't a promise about your house, because what your job needs depends on what we find in your attic, walls or crawl space when we look at it in person.

Estimates and pricing

We give free in-person estimates with no obligation to hire us. The estimate is based on what we can see and reach during the visit, including the size of the space, what's already up there, the material you choose and how much prep the job needs.

Your written estimate sets the scope and the price for that job. If we open things up and find something the estimate didn't account for, such as soaked or contaminated old insulation, hidden damage or framing problems, we'll stop, show you what we found and agree on any change with you before we do extra work or charge for it.

Prices shown or discussed anywhere other than your written estimate are general and aren't an offer. An estimate stays valid for the period written on it.

Scheduling and cancellation

We'll set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Weather, material delivery, access problems or what we find once the job is open can move a date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one.

You're responsible for giving our crew clear access to the work area on the scheduled day, including the attic hatch, crawl space entry, parking and power. Some jobs, spray foam in particular, need you, your kids and your pets out of the house until the re-entry time, the point when it's safe to come back, which we'll give you before the job starts. Please plan for it.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or turned other work away for your date, the terms in your written estimate say what costs, if any, you'd be responsible for.

Payment

The payment schedule for your job is written on your estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, payment is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we'll contact you first to sort it out. Unpaid balances may be subject to the collection steps California law allows, and you're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an amount that's properly owed.

Our work and warranty disclaimers

M&R Watsonville Spray Foam Insulation is fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it.

Any written warranty for your job is the one on your contract, and material warranties come from the maker of the product. Apart from those written terms, and to the extent the law allows, we don't make other promises, such as a specific drop in your power bill or a specific indoor temperature, because results depend on things outside our work, like your windows, ductwork, heating and cooling system and how the house is used.

Warranties don't cover damage from leaks, pests, later remodeling, other contractors disturbing our work or anything we weren't hired to fix.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or the cost of a hotel stay, except where the law doesn't allow that limit.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any right you have that California law says can't be waived.

Using this website

We try to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we can't promise it's free of errors or always available. The text, photos and design belong to M&R Watsonville Spray Foam Insulation, and you may not copy them for commercial use without our permission.

Sending the contact form or calling us doesn't create a contract. A job starts only once we've both agreed to a written estimate.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with any part of our work or billing, please tell us first, because most problems get fixed fastest with a phone call and a visit. Reach us at (831) 666-1048 or through the contact page, and we'll reply within 1 business day.

If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Small claims court stays open to either side for claims within its limits.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case about them will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, near Watsonville where reasonably possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. A job already under a signed estimate stays under the terms in place when you signed it unless we both agree in writing to change them.

Questions about these terms are welcome. Call (831) 666-1048 or use the contact page, and we'll walk you through anything that isn't clear.
